FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why do I
need to be at the surgery center so
early?
This allows sufficient
time for you to be properly checked in
and prepared for your procedure.

my usual medications the day of my
procedure?
This depends on the
medication. Please call your doctor, or
call us for instructions.
Do I need
to bring my medications with me?
You do not need to bring
your medicines from home except for any

Can I eat
and drink before my procedure?
- You may eat up until 6 hours
before your scheduled procedure
- You may drink clear liquids up to
2 hours before your scheduled

- If you are having a
gastro-intestinal procedure done,
please follow the

your procedure may be cancelled or
delayed. If you have any questions about
what you can eat or drink, please call
us.

you call me after my procedure?
Because meeting your

you may have following your surgery. If
we are unable to reach you during

your insurance cards when registering.
Also, if your insurance
sponsor/subscriber is someone other than
yourself, you will need to provide
subscriber information, such as their
